C.A.C. Bar & Eatery Gatherings - Functions - Events - Corporate Lunches

C.A.C has the ideal space for private gatherings, for just a few or as many as 250 people. For special birthday or anniversary celebrations, corporate presentations, product launches, film-shoot wraps as well as weddings, company parties or whatever your occasion is, we can organise and run your event for you. The atmosphere and design of CAC provides an exquisite backdrop for you and your guests, we take care of the detail, ensuring your function is memorable, professionally executed and thoroughly enjoyable.

The mezzanine area is separate from the downstairs and holds up to 120 guests for a cocktail party, or can comfortably seat sixty for a sit down meal. The bar area can be reserved for as few as 20 or as many as 100. If your scope is a bit larger, we can turn the whole place over to you if you'd prefer.

While we do not charge a room hire fee for the exclusive use of any area within the venue, we do require a pre-determined minimum spend to be met in terms of all food and beverage consumed during the course of the event.

We can accommodate live music if you have hired the entire venue; otherwise we have entertainment nightly - refer to the entertainment page.

Large parties - 10 or more - seated at large tables:

a selection of dishes served at the time of your choice,in the style of the regular menu, equivalent of entree and main with baskets of bread

$39 per person             add dessert $49 per person

Cocktail party style - mezzanine area or bar area - 20 - 300

substantial continuous finger food will be served for the duration of your choice

1 hour package:  $15 per person      choose 6 items

2 hour package:  $25 per person      choose 8 items  

3 hour package:  $33 per person      choose 10 items

Large parties - exclusive use of mezzanine or bar area:

Option 1:

food stations of a wide variety of small plates served continuously - equivalent of entree and main or fork buffet with platters chosen from the list below - choose four platters and three accompaniments

one hour finger food to begin - choose 6 items from the menu above then food stations of a wide variety of small plates in the style of our menu or fork buffet with platters chosen from the list below - choose four platters and three accompaniments

$49 per person        add dessert for $59 per person

Option 3:

one hour finger food to begin - choose 8 items from the menu above then food stations of a wide variety of small plates in the style of our menu or fork buffet with platters chosen from the list below - choose four platters and three accompaniments

Beverage Packages

Beverage can be chosen a la carte off our wine and drinks lists. If you have a budget in mind we can run a tab to your limit. Wines can be chosen in advance and products limited to your choice.

FAQs
 
How does the deposit work?
A function is not confirmed until a deposit is received. This is then deducted from your total bill on the night. Cancellation conditions may apply so please read these overleaf.
 
What happens if the minimum spend isn’t reached?
If the amount spent by your party on food and drinks doesn’t reach the minimum spend level agreed by the end of your party, you will be required to pay the difference.
 
What payment methods do you accept?
CAC Bar & Eatery accepts cash, Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard & AMEX credit cards. Bartercard by agreement.
 
Where are the toilets?
They are downstairs, at the end of the bar area, on the left as you walk into CAC Bar. The door is discreetly tucked behind a curtain ? if you have any problems finding them, our friendly staff will be pleased to help you and your guests.
 
Does CAC Bar have disabled access?
The downstairs bar area and toilets are wheelchair accessible; the upper (mezzanine) level is not wheelchair accessible; there are 17 steps to reach the mezzanine level.
 
Can you corner off an area of the bar for my group?
We’ll happily reserve some of the tables and leaners in the bar area for you, but the area can’t be cornered off completely as the toilet access is through the bar area.
 
Where can I park my car?
There is usually plenty of free street parking available in the evenings and weekends. CAC Bar customers are also welcome to park at OfficeMax after 5.30pm weekdays & 12pm on weekends.
 
Are children welcome at CAC Bar & Eatery?
Yes, children are welcome as long as their parent or legal guardian is present. Anyone under age 18 cannot purchase alcohol.
 
What time does the bar stay open till?
CAC Bar & Eatery is licensed till 1am 7 days.
 
What shall I wear? Is there a dress code?
Most guests choose to dress in smart casual or smart attire. If you’d like a themed party with fancy dress, you’re most welcome to dress up!
 
Can I have a look at the menu and talk through the options in person?
Absolutely! We’d be pleased to meet with you ? just give us a call on 09 630 5790 to arrange a convenient time.
 
Do we have to order food for our gathering?
No you do not have to order food. However, part of being a responsible host would be to provide food if your guests are consuming alcohol. We can work with you and to your budget to ensure you & your guests have a great event.
 
Can I provide my own DJ or entertainment?
Yes if you have hired the whole venue. If you have only taken an area, CAC Bar & Eatery will provide appropriate music for all our guests to enjoy. 
 
 

General terms and conditions
 
All tentative bookings will be held for two weeks only, after which time the space will be released.
 
Bookings will not be confirmed until the booking agreement form has been signed by the hirer and the hire fee, including the deposit, has been received by CAC Bar & Eatery.
 
All final details including catering, schedule etc need to be confirmed two weeks prior to the function.
 
Final payment
 
The Final payment must be paid at the close of the function. Bar tab and Bar staff payments are to be made to the Bar Manager.
 
Method of payment: cash, Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard & AMEX credit cards. 
 
Security
 
Every care will be taken by CAC Bar & Eatery to ensure the security of any client’s items; CAC Bar & Eatery or its agents will not accept liability for any loss or damage of goods.
 
Some functions will require the provision of security guards. Where this is deemed necessary, the client will be required to organise and pay for this.
 
The client will be held responsible for the orderly conduct of the function. This involves ensuring that guests behave in a manner that will not cause ill repute CAC Bar & Eatery. We reserve the right to intervene if and when necessary.
 
Loss or damage
 
The client will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the premises and furnishings and agrees to pay to rectify any damage. 
 

Decoration
 
All decorations and banners must be approved by the Functions Manager. No items may be attached; using glue, staples, pins, tape or other means, which may result in damage and defacing of the venue.
 
Special care needs to be taken with items such as candles.
 
Additional equipment
 
Additional costs for any additional equipment hired by CAC Bar & Eatery to meet the client’s requests will be charged to the client.
 
Cancellation
 
If, for any reason beyond its control, CAC Bar & Eatery is unable to meet its obligations in respect of any bookings, we reserve the right to cancel any such booking without liability and will refund any monies received by way of deposit. 
If the client cancels a booking, the following will apply:
  
Two months prior to date - Full refund of deposit 
One month prior to date  - 50% of deposit 
2 weeks prior to date  - 25% of deposit 
Less than 2 weeks to date - No refund
